Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based in both Grand Rapids and Lansing, Michigan, and am frequently back and forth. However, I will travel any lengths for your perfect photos! Travel rates may apply for long distances.

When will we get our photos?

You will receive an online gallery link to Pic-Time with all your photos around 3 weeks (time dependent on season) after the shoot. If I feel necessary, I may sometimes provide “sneak peek” photos to allow the client to have a few memories while they wait for the rest. Final galleries include individually and carefully edited photos from your big day. You can download all the photos from the gallery, share them, choose your favorites, and even order your prints!

Can I post your work?

Of course! I love to see clients share my work with their loved ones. I ask that you please do not apply filters or alter the images in any way- I work hard on each photo to make sure the lighting, colors, and everything else is perfect! I also ask that you please tag me in photos (on Instagram at @emma.withacamera and on Facebook at Emma With a Camera). I love to see what my clients share, as well as I enjoy seeing my work spread throughout the community.

How many pictures will we receive?

The number of photos in your final gallery entirely depends on how long of a session you book, as well as the cooperation of timing, weather, and subjects. On average, mini sessions yield anywhere from 10-20 photos. Regular half hour, hour, or hour and a half long sessions range from 20-85+ photos.

What’s the booking process?

First, I’ll have you reach out to me via email, or through the “contact” section on this website. Simply submit a request with your information and a brief description of the type, seasonal timing, and approximate location of the shoot. Within one-two business days, I will respond with my detailed pricing guide and availability for that month. If you think we’re not a great fit- That’s okay! There is never any pressure to book. However, if you’d like to move forward, I’ll send out a contract and we’ll talk style, specific locations, and outfitting.
