My name is Emma Fabiano. I’m a portrait photographer based in both Grand Rapids and Lansing, Michigan. My love for photography began over 5 years ago with my mom’s hobby camera. However, a year ago, my passion for capturing people grew and I decided to start my own business. On November 4th of 2021, Emma With a Camera was born. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph some wonderful seniors, families, couples, graduates, and even pets! Exactly one year after that, Emma With a Camera became a registered LLC.
When I’m not behind my camera, you could probably find me on my horse, studying in the MSU library, hanging out with a friend (probably taking iPhone pictures), or at home watching Netflix with my boyfriend.
In my short, but very fulfilling year of photography, one thing has stood out to me- a lot of people don’t like getting their picture taken! That’s why I’ve made it my priority to make my clients feel comfortable by curating a stress-free booking process, location & clothing guides, and a versatile list of candid prompts that combat the awkwardness and stiff posing (que flashback to the awkward mall studio photos we all have as a kid). Whether you’re an expecting mother, school grad, family that probably waited way too late to start on Christmas cards, business owner, or someone simply booking because you’re awesome and you deserve it- allow me the highest honor of capturing moments that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
